Advertising Campaign Concept

Campaigns are the most appropriate and effective method of Banner advertising when a number of slightly different Banners are supposed to advertise one thing (in comparison with displaying just individual Banners, as in Banner Inventory). For example, 10 Banners with the images of different books can advertise a single Internet Bookshop. All such Banners are likely to be of the same category and to be targeted to the same audience. They just can be different in graphics, colour, size, etc.

In such cases, it is convenient to treat such set of Banners as one Campaign. In other words you create a single Campaign and load all Banners to it. You just define Campaign settings (such as start and end date, Target Groups, limitations, target URL, etc.) and all the Banners of this Campaign automatically inherit these settings. Therefore you do not have to modify the settings of all Banners, if you want for example, to suspend the Campaign for some time, or change its targeting settings, etc. While the Campaign is running you can add, remove and replace Banners in it.
